Dixon Community Theater Announces Auditions for “Hamlet: Paranormal Activity”
Audition Dates: Monday, January 13 (3:30-4:30 PM) Tuesday, January 14 (6:00-7:00 PM) Location: Dixon Senior Center, 201 S. 5th St., Dixon, CA 95620 Audition Preparation: 1.Please prepare a 1 minute or less presentation: A personal story that you want to tell in a story-telling way. Note: These presentations do not have to be memorized. 2.You will also be asked to read from a side (a piece of dialogue from the show). This too, does not have to be memorized. There will be 10 minutes to go over the script to familiarize yourself with them before the audition proper starts. Our goal is to keep it light and fun. We are here because we enjoy this, and I don’t want to be the reason anyone stops enjoying theater. So, relax and have fun with the audition! Prepare to enter a world where Shakespeare meets the supernatural! Dixon Community Theater (DCT) is excited to announce open auditions for its season premiere, Hamlet: Paranormal Activity. This innovative, modern adaptation of Shakespeare’s iconic tragedy promises an electrifying blend of timeless drama and eerie paranormal intrigue.
Audition Details:
- ● Dates: Monday, January 13 (3:30-4:30 PM) and Tuesday, January 14 (6:00-7:00 PM)

No experience is required! DCT encourages actors of all backgrounds to audition as part of its commitment to inclusive casting. Participants will read from the script and have time to prepare and review lines.
- Available Roles Include:
- Hamlet: Devastated by his father’s death, he seeks answers in a world of uncertainty.
- King Claudius: Hamlet’s uncle and the newly crowned King of Denmark.
- Gertrude: Hamlet’s mother, caught between her son and her new husband.
- The Ghost: A spirit trapped between worlds, seeking to reveal the truth.
- Polonius: The cunning chief advisor to the King.
- Ophelia: Polonius’s daughter, torn between love and loyalty.
